Port Connectivity

Port connectivity with domestic production and consumption centers is being strengthened through rail, road, pipelines, and multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs) under dedicated Port Connectivity pillar. This pillar comprises 294 projects with an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 2.39 lakh crore, being implemented by various agencies.

Of these, 106 projects worth Rs. 65,061 crore have been completed, while 70 projects valued at Rs. 73,934 crore are under implementation. Remaining 118 projects, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.0 lakh crore are at various stages of planning.

These initiatives also include infrastructure gap projects identified under the Comprehensive Port Connectivity Plan (CPCP), prepared as part of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, in consultation with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Ministry of Railways (MoR), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), and State Maritime Boards.
